This paper aims to examine the role and relevance of the Balinese language for cultural tourism activities in Bali. The Balinese language plays a central role in defining the island's cultural traditions and connecting communities, but it is also threatened by tourism development driven by modernization and globalization. The research uses a literature review methodology, collecting and analyzing data from relevant books, journals, and online articles. The conclusion of the paper emphasizes the need for cooperation among stakeholders to develop integrated strategies that combine efforts to preserve the Balinese language with sustainable tourism practices. This collaborative approach is expected to ensure the ongoing presence of the Balinese language as a living part of Bali's cultural heritage. The implication of this paper is the necessity of integrating the Balinese language into the development of cultural tourism in Bali, as well as support from various parties to preserve local languages as a cultural identity. This can provide benefits for the preservation of Balinese culture as well as the sustainability of the tourism industry in the region.
